Learning never stops and the current crises have proved that.
Suddenly the whole world stopped but that didn’t stop us from learning and teaching.
Physically not being able to teach was a challenge but one of the best cbse school in Ahmedabad, “Apple Global School” opted for different ways of teaching with online classes for its pre-primary kids. Few things changed while conducting the online sessions while a lot of it remained the same. The groups in the classroom changed to individuals with a device, whilst speaking/singing together changed to answering individually but one thing remained the same, the zest of these lively kids making it ever so exciting and cheerful while all of us adopt new digital ways of schooling. The online class did not stop them to share their emotions, thoughts, fear, and show their creativity, toys, and even house, thereby making it extremely intimate interactions. As a teacher, it has also enabled me to get a glimpse of each of my students surrounding, which has helped me understand them better.
The smile on their face seeing their friends, classmates and teachers made them forget about the pandemic, It is the collective learning and teaching that has made these sessions exciting over a period of time negating the old definitions of homework and classwork. I am sure, the kids of Apple Global School, will excel with alternative ways of learning and interacting, using the crises as a tool to move forward and explore new mediums and make not only my online class lively but their lives too.
