SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM- CBSE BOARD
For the purpose of fostering competences in learners, the curriculum encompasses nine major learning areas, which are: Languages, Humanities, Mathematics, Science and Technology, General Studies, and Health and Physical Education. These areas are broadly divided into Scholastic and Co-scholastic areas
The curriculum envisages individualized personal learning acumen and seeks to explore the potential of students in acquiring substantial acknowledge and skills through academic rigours. With greater academic orientation and research skills in core academic areas, students would evolve as discerning young adults with a sense of real self-estimate having true values and principles.
The subjects we offer at Apple Global school are as follows:

The School Curriculum Committee defines activities for pedagogical practices, evolve a plan of assessment and mechanism of feedback and reflection and ensure its implementation. The committee also ensures that the textbooks/ reference materials are age-appropriate, incorporate inclusive principles, are gender-sensitive, have valid content and do not contain any material which may hurt the sentiments of any community.
We are confident to accomplish this with inspired teaching of a rigorous and meaningful curriculum in a dynamic learning environment where we support and challenge every student in partnership with families and community.
SECONDARY & SENIOR SECONDARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM- INTERNATIONAL BOARD
Grade 8 (From 2021)
AGS imparts the integrated curriculum of International Board and CBSE board through important areas of study such as global awareness, civic literacy, ICT literacy, critical thinking, problem-solving and life skills. Keeping this in focus, our planning is accompanied by the use of innovative strategies and modern learning technologies that will help integrate cognitive and social skills with students. Students of Grade 6 & 7 are well prepared to select a board of their choice at the end of Grade 7. And in AGS-International, Grade 8 Applets will follow the full curriculum of the Year 9 Cambridge Checkpoint in English, Maths and Science Subjects.
IGCSE (Grade 9 & 10, Starting from 2022)
From the Year 2022, AGS-International will commence its first batch of IGCSE curriculum. Starting from a foundation of core subjects, it adds breadth and cross-curricular perspectives.
There are a number of subjects available at IGCSE and it develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:
- Subject content
- Applying knowledge and understanding to new as well as unfamiliar situations
- Intellectual enquiry
- Flexibility and responsiveness to change
- Working and communicating in English
- Influencing outcomes
- Cultural awareness.
Schools worldwide have been involved in the development of IGCSE. The syllabuses are international in outlook, but retain a local relevance. They have been created specifically for an international student body and avoid cultural bias.
GCE (AS & A Levels, Starting from 2024)
The AS & A Level syllabuses prepare learners for university study. International AS & A Level develops learners’ knowledge, understanding and skills in:
- In-depth subject content
- Independent thinking
- Applying knowledge and understanding to new as well as familiar situations
- Handling and evaluating different types of information source
- Thinking logically and presenting ordered and coherent arguments
- Making judgements, recommendations and decisions
- Presenting reasoned explanations, understanding implications and communicating them logically and clearly
- Working and communicating in English.
International A Level is typically a two-year course. AGS-International will offer a choice of subjects in almost any combination. This flexibility means schools can build an individualised curriculum, and learners can choose to specialise in a particular subject area or study a range of subjects.
