Houses

School Assemblies with a Purpose (UNSDG Themes)

Special assemblies are student-led and themed around the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). These assemblies spark conversation and reflection on climate action, equality, innovation, peace, and more—fostering conscious, responsible citizenship from an early age.

House System at Apple Global School (AGS)

At AGS, students are divided into four houses, each named after one of the four classical elements, which represent fundamental aspects of life, growth, and the environment. The house system promotes teamwork, healthy competition, and holistic development through various academic, sports, and co-curricular activities.

House Competitions and Trophies:
  • Students participate in house competitions throughout the academic year, with the goal of earning points for their respective houses. There are two main trophies awarded at AGS:
  • Sports Trophy: Presented on the Annual Sports Day, this trophy recognises achievements in athleticism and sportsmanship.
  • Co-Curricular & Extracurricular Trophy: Awarded after all the house competitions are concluded in February, acknowledging success in cultural, artistic, and intellectual activities.
The Four Houses:
  • Aqua (Water):
    Symbolism: Life, purity, renewal, love.
Power: Cleansing, healing, and vital for life.
Description: Aqua represents the essential role water plays in nurturing life and the world around us. It stands for fluidity, adaptability, and strength in adversity.
  • Ignis (Fire):
Symbolism: Sun, flame, warmth, and light.
Power: A powerful source of energy and vision.
Description: Ignis embodies the power of transformation and vision. Like fire, it inspires passion, boldness, and clarity, pushing its members to ignite their potential and lead with confidence.
  • Terra (Earth):
    Symbolism: Birth, nurturing, power, security.
    Power: Growth, endurance, and creation.
Description: Terra signifies strength, stability, and growth. Rooted in the Earth, it stands for perseverance, nurturing, and the ability to endure through challenges.
  • Caelum (Air):
Symbolism: Spirit, life, breath, challenge, and change.
Power: Provides life and inspiration through movement.
Description: Caelum represents the free spirit and the dynamic, ever-changing nature of life. Just as air sustains life, Caelum encourages its members to embrace change and adapt to challenges.
Purpose and Benefits of the House System:
  • Holistic Development: The house system encourages academic, athletic, and personal growth. By participating in house activities, students learn valuable life skills like leadership, collaboration, and time management.
  • Promotes Team Spirit: Students develop a sense of camaraderie, loyalty, and team spirit within their respective houses, fostering relationships that enhance both personal and academic success.
  • Healthy Competition: The house competitions stimulate a sense of competition that is both fun and constructive, motivating students to strive for excellence in various fields.
  • Building Character: Through inter-house events and activities, students learn to appreciate diversity, respect others' skills and talents, and develop a sense of belonging and pride in their house.
School Assemblies With a Purpose (UNSDG Themes)

Special assemblies at AGS are student-led and aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UNSDGs). Each House takes turns leading these assemblies, which serve as powerful platforms to inspire reflection and action on themes such as:

  • Climate Action
  • Peace and Justice
  • Sustainable Cities & Communities
  • Gender Equality
  • Innovation & Quality Education
  • Global Partnership & Inclusivity

These purposeful assemblies help build awareness, empathy, and social responsibility, nurturing strong values and responsible global citizens from an early age.

Club Programme at AGS

At Apple Global School, learning goes beyond the classroom. Our House System and Club Programme work hand-in-hand to foster leadership, teamwork, creativity, and a spirit of healthy competition among students.

House System

Every student at AGS is proudly placed in one of our four Houses — Aqua, Ignis, Terra, and Caelum, each inspired by the four elemental forces of creation. These Houses form the foundation of student leadership, teamwork, and identity within the school. Throughout the year, students compete in a range of academic, co-curricular, sports, and service-based activities to earn points for their House. The House with the highest points at the end of the academic year is honoured with the prestigious House Trophy.

Clubs at AGS

AGS offers a variety of clubs designed to develop students’ interests, creativity, and real-world skills. These clubs include areas such as:

  • Innovation, AI, & STEM
  • Pythagoras, The Math Club
  • VGC, Photography & Visual Arts
  • Literary & Public Speaking (Hindi & English)
  • Archimedes, The Science Club
  • Stage Craft (Dance)
  • Music Lounge
  • Art & Design
  • Global Galaxy
  • Kaun Banega AGS GK Champion

Students choose a club based on their passions and strengths, allowing them to explore new interests, polish their talents, and engage in meaningful projects and experiences.

Club Presentations & House Points

A unique feature of AGS is the integration of club activities with the House System. Each club culminates in presentations, performances, exhibitions, or demonstrations, where students showcase their learning, creativity, and teamwork. These presentations are evaluated on parameters such as innovation, teamwork, discipline, execution, and impact.

Performance in club presentations contributes to House points, encouraging students to give their best effort, support peers, and work collaboratively. This system not only motivates excellence but also deepens the connection between personal growth and House pride.
